BBC Documentary – The Battle to Beat Polio

I said a little earlier in the week that I had watched the BBC documentary The Battle to Beat Polio. It was very thought-provoking and probably next week I will come back and share some further thoughts. The programme has been loaded to YouTube, by I think a reputable source, and is embedded here for those outside of the UK who wish to view it.

Sobering viewing.

  1. I heard an interview on CBC radio about how the CIAs use of a vaccine program to find bin laudin (abandoned immediately after they found him) has made it so people in Pakistan not trust ngo’s who truly are doing vaccinations. Now they think and it can be said that vaccine and spying are connected. The poor little ones who contracted polio. So sad to be affected the rest of your life from something that is preventable.
