How to Take Part

Well if you have made it this far, fantastic. That means you have not fallen asleep from boredom! It also means that you have a loved one, or perhaps several loved ones that you want to commemorate.

Here is what you need to do.

1. Choose your material and cut the material into a square. I am not being prescriptive on the size of the squares.

2. Embroider or add the details of your loved one. One person on each square. If you want to commemorate 6 people then you need 6 squares. If you choose not to embroider or add a picture, but want to submit a square in memory of a loved one that is fine too!

3. Write a note with each square telling me who you are commemorating, and a bit about them. Effectively a little story about them. You can write as much or as little as you would like. You can email this to me. Be sure to use the contact form in the first instance so that I can piece together the square when it arrives with the emailed details.

4. Enclose your name and email address with the squares and contact me for my postal address.

Once you have the address to send the squares to, pop them in the post to me. When your squares arrive in the UK with me I will acknowledge receipt of them.

I recommend “liking” the Facebook page and subscribing to this site, as this is where I will share the progression and details of this project. Please share the project with friends and family.

  2. What a great idea! Where is the quilt going? This would also be a great family idea.
